Surface Mounting Sinlge head PnP Unit for Open PnP
This unit is a modular "pick and place" head designed specifically for DIY SMT machines running OpenPnP. It utilizes a NEMA8 hollow shaft stepper motor to provide 360-degree rotation (C-axis) for the nozzle while allowing a vacuum path through the center of the motor.
Pick and Place Unit with Juki/Samsung compatible Nozzle (OpenPnP)
This configuration is the standard setup for SMT component placement (resistors, ICs, etc.).
Rotary Axis: Driven by a NEMA8 Hollow Shaft Stepper Motor. This allows the nozzle to rotate components to the correct orientation before placement on the PCB.
Nozzle Compatibility: The unit includes a Juki Nozzle Adapter (standard for OpenPnP). While the unit generally does not include the nozzles themselves, it is designed to accept standard Juki 500-series nozzles (500, 501, 503, 504, etc.).
Linear Motion (Z-axis): The head is designed to be mounted onto a linear rail (typically MGN7 or MGN9). Note that the basic PnPS20/28 kit usually requires you to provide the rail, though it includes the mounting plates.
Pneumatic Connection: Includes a rotary pneumatic connector (KSH/KJS style) at the top of the motor shaft. This allows the vacuum tube to remain stationary while the hollow shaft and nozzle rotate freely.
OpenPnP Integration: Fully compatible with OpenPnP's vacuum sensing and actuator controls. It is lightweight, which minimizes inertia for high-speed head movement.
Auto-changer adapter, hollow shaft stepper motor, motor shaft adapter to rotary pneumatic connector and the KSH connector, and a default nozzle are included.

Pick and Place Unit with Suction Cup (Label/Material Handling)
For picking larger items like labels, plastic covers, or non-SMD materials, the unit can be easily adapted from a precision SMT tool to a general-purpose vacuum lifter.
Adaptability: Instead of a Juki SMT nozzle, the Juki adapter can be swapped for a standard threaded vacuum fitting or a small silicone suction cup.
Suction Power: Because the vacuum path goes through the NEMA8 hollow shaft, you can utilize a higher-flow vacuum pump (as labels require more "hold" than tiny resistors).
Soft Landing: For labels, the Z-axis travel (provided by the linear rail) ensures that the suction cup can compress slightly against the label surface for a secure seal before lifting.
Application: Ideal for applying QR code labels to PCBs, picking up protective films, or moving small mechanical parts in a non-SMT assembly line.
